This nonprofit organization provides several ways to donate, such as making financial contributions, volunteering for their annual mission retreats, and participating in various activities. They also accept matched donations from employers.
An essential question remains: How can we disseminate this information to offices and buildings, allowing employees to donate and companies to match their contributions?
It has been observed by the philanthropy round table that people tend to donate more towards the end of their lives when they have more savings, time, and motivation to help others. This age range usually peaks between 61-75 years old. However, in 2020, Americans donated a record $471 billion to charities, as reported by Giving 2020. This was a 5.1% increase in total giving from the previous year, even though the pandemic had put millions of people out of work.
The pandemic made people slow down and become more aware of the pressing issues in the world. As we return to our busy lives, it's important to continue raising awareness. Looking at the statistics for 2023, although giving has increased slightly since 2020, those who earn less than $50,000 a year donate a higher percentage of their total income than those in other income ranges. These individuals are usually millennials and Gen-Z.
The goal of this campaign would be; to bring two connection points together by using symbolism (the paper plane) to our audience (Corporate employees) in compelling yet creative ways to create awareness and drive Corporate employees and their employers to donate to the cause.
Jumping right into the first tactic of the campaign, the memoir is a soft yet elaborate launch. The paper planes would be placed on a ceiling hanging from a fish wire in the office conference room to be chosen by the staff.
When we say huge we mean big enough to capture someone's attention in an office setting or conference. The visual would be a X x X interactive wall. This wall is a digital computing display that displays images and videos that individuals can connect to through touch and motion.
